Penn State’s run in the Big Ten tournament is still ongoing.
The Nittany Lions took down Indiana in the semifinals on Saturday, earning a 77-73 victory to move on to Sunday’s final.
Penn State entered this year’s conference tournament as the 10th seed, and also likely on the outside looking in as far as the NCAA tournament was concerned.
Three wins later, and Penn State finds itself in the finals tomorrow to take on top-seeded Purdue. The big wins in Chicago have also taken the Nittany Lions off of bubble watch, with an at-large bid all but secured after the strong showing.
Fans are reacting to the win on Saturday.
“So proud of this team,” one fan said. “Playing team basketball and peaking at the right time.”
“Did not expect to be here, but I’m glad that we are,” said another fan.
One fan called Penn State a “basketball school” after the big win over Indiana.
One win is all that stands in Penn State’s way of a Big Ten title, but they’re going to have to beat a very good team in Purdue to earn that win.
The top-seeded Boilermakers have been one of the best teams in the nation all season long.
