This coming Saturday features one of the biggest games of the 2024 college football season to date.
Ohio State and Penn State will renew their rivalry in State College and a lot is on the line. Both teams come into this contest as top five teams in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
Ohio State is 6-1, its only loss coming against Oregon on October 12, while Penn State is a perfect 7-0.
The winner of this game will be in a great spot to potentially play for a Big Ten title and make the College Football Playoff.
With that in mind, 247Sports’ college football analysts Brad Crawford and Chris Hummer have given their score predictions and both have Ohio State winning.
“It’s close but the Buckeyes pull it out late. … Ohio State 27, Penn State 24,” Hummer wrote.
“I don’t like the matchup for the Nittany Lions, who know their playoff hopes will not be determined with a loss to the Buckeyes, especially with Drew Allar’s availability in question. … Ohio State 27, Penn State 20,” Crawford wrote.
Ohio State has dominated this rivalry in recent years. The Buckeyes have won seven in a row against the Nittany Lions and haven’t lost to them since 2016.
They’ll try to make it eight in a row and improve to 7-1 overall when Saturday’s game gets going at Noon ET.
