Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had another big game today as the Buckeyes took down the No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions. But his performance today was a little extra special.
At the end of today’s game – a 20-6 win over the rival Nittany Lions – Harrison’s statline was 11 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown. As many have noted, that’s better than the entire Penn State wide receiving corps put together.
Cleveland.com’s Stephen Means pointed out that Penn State’s wide receivers combined for 10 receptions and 118 yards with no touchdowns.
Granted, that says far more about Ohio State’s defense than Marvin Harrison Jr’s offensive prowess. Nevertheless, it’s always an impressive feat when a single player outplays the entire unit of an opposing team.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is the consensus top wide receiver prospect heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s in line to win just about every major award for a receiver if he can stay healthy this season.
Today’s performance – against one of college football’s best teams – is just a further reminder of how good he really is.
