Unfortunately, there’s going to be a ton of controversy surrounding Saturday’s game between No. 7 Penn State and No. 3 Ohio State.
During the second quarter, Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord fumbled the football at Penn State’s 26-yard line. Junior linebacker Curtis Jacobs scooped up the fumble and returned it to the house.
However, this game-changing play from Penn State’s defense was erased by a holding penalty. Marvin Harrison Jr. was being held by one of Penn State’s defensive backs on the play.
Here’s the holding penalty that wiped a touchdown off the board for Penn State:
Wow, huge call for 14 point swing on a 3rd and 11 … wipes a fumble return TD off the board for Penn State, Ohio State punched it in a few plays later. #collegefootball #OhioState #PennState #defensiveback #widereceiver pic.twitter.com/Uncp0hEWxF

While this may have been the right call by the officials, there are a lot of people who believe Penn State is getting robbed this Saturday.
To make matters worse, Penn State was hit with a questionable unnecessary roughness penalty just a few plays later.

“The officials in this Penn State-Ohio State game need to be investigated,” one person wrote on X. “They’re just throwing everything they can at them. Absolutely pathetic how they’ll freely cheat for Ohio State. Getting sick of the cheating that happens in College Football.”

Another person commented, “That soft ass penalty they just called on Penn State just describes college officials all over the country. So miserable.”

We’ll see if Penn State can overcome this unfortunate sequence.
