New York City native Jayden Forsythe has been in contact with Mississippi State, Butler, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Xavier and Texas A&M, he told ZAGSBLOG in an interview Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5 190-pound guard, who is the No. 88 recruit in the class of 2024 according to On3 Sports, also visited Penn State this weekend.
“I really like it up there,” Forsythe said. “The coaches are cool, they know what they’re talking about.”
A Wesstown School (PA.) product, Forsythe has formed a strong relationship with the in-state Nittany Lions.
“Since June 15th they’ve been talking to me pretty much,” he said. “Now, it’s definitely picked up a lot.”
Forsythe has no visits planned at this time as Wesstown gears up for a competitive 2023-2024 campaign.
“We’re looking really good,” he said. “We play together and we have great chemistry.”
In terms of playstyle, Forsythe regards himself a determined winner.
“I’m like a sponge, I love to learn every day and I’m coachable,” he said. “I bring energy every day, whether it’s practice, film or anything. I just want to be a great teammate and be able to help my team win in any way possible.”
