There was a horrific roughing-the-passer call during Saturday’s Penn State-USC game.
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar had already thrown the ball when he barely even got bumped by a USC pass rusher. Allar went down and the ref somehow flagged the USC defender for roughing the passer when nothing happened.
Perhaps the worst roughing the passer call in football history 🤦🏽 pic.twitter.com/vak44G1g7l

There’s no reason to call that a penalty since Allar was barely touched.
College football fans were also fairly upset about the call.
“The @bigten should be ashamed of themselves for employing these clown refs,” one fan tweeted.
“Would definitely agree,” another tweet read.
“This is one of the craziest flops I’ve ever seen,” another fan tweeted.
Even though this call was made, fans were still treated to one heck of a game in Los Angeles.
USC gave Penn State everything it could handle and forced overtime at the end of regulation with an interception off Allar. It was his third of the game.
However, Penn State came up clutch in OT and kicked a game-winning field goal to win, 33-30. Penn State is now 6-0 overall heading into its next game against Wisconsin in two weeks.
Meanwhile, USC is now 3-3 heading into its next game against Maryland next Saturday.
