Four-star Overtime Elite (GA) guard Amari Evans, who is ranked No. 65 in the class of 2025 by 247 Sports, recently took a visit to Pitt.
The 6-5 guard, who is a Pittsburgh native, enjoyed the trip to his hometown and reflected on it in an interview with ZAGSBLOG.
“I liked the coaching staff; the energy in practice was on 100,” he said. “The coaches [were] very invested in their players.”
In addition to the Panthers, Evans also visited Oklahoma State in June.
“I like how the campus is set up,” he said. “Coach [Mike] Boynton was real from the start; it was a great conversation. [I] like the way they treat their guys.”
In addition to Pitt and Oklahoma State the 6-5 guard, who describes himself as someone that “brings energy and makes open shots,” has been offered by Marquette, Providence, Villanova, Xavier and Tennessee, among others.
The City Reapers AAU guard currently has no visits planned as he focuses on his high school season where he is averaging 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
