Dennis joins Kancey as member of the Buccaneers defense
The heart of the Pittsburgh Panthers defense from last season finally has a new home. Linebacker SirVocea Dennis was selected 153rd overall in the 5th round of the NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dennis joins Calijah Kancey who was the Buccaneer’s first-round pick.

Dennis was a standard of development for the Pittsburgh Panthers throughout his college career. Dennis joined Pitt as a two-star recruit out of Syracuse, New York, from the 2019 class. Dennis grew each season until becoming the first-team All-ACC level player he should last season. A third-team All-American according to Pro Football Focus, Dennis has 27 career starts and was a team captain for the Panthers.
The Buccaneers boast a talented inside linebacker room that has Devin White and Lavonte David holding down the starting spots. Something to keep an eye on though is that Devin White requested a trade two weeks ago. It remains to be seen if the Buccaneers will accommodate this as we head toward the end of the draft.
