The All-ACC honorable mention is taking his talents to the next level
Pittsburgh Panthers safety Brandon Hill announced in a tweet today that he will be declaring for the NFL draft, as well as opting out of the Sun Bowl against UCLA.

Hill was an impact player during his time in the royal and gold, making appearances in four separate seasons for the Panthers. He made four appearances in 2019 while redshirting, then saw snaps in 10 games coming off the bench in 2020 before becoming a full-time starter during the 2021 season.
He earned his fair share of accolades, including an All-ACC honorable mention this season, as well as a second-team nomination in 2021. Hill also was a Jim Thorpe award semi-finalist in 2021.
His career stats include 172 tackles, three of which for loss, three interceptions, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two recoveries, and two touchdowns.
His shoes will be tough to fill, as he’s been a mainstay in the starting lineup for the past two seasons, and an impact player at that.
Hill likely will be a day two or day three draft pick if he is to be selected. His stock is slightly lower than it was last year at this time, but he’s still a tremendously accomplished player all the same.
We at Cardiac Hill wish Brandon Hill good luck as he pursues his dream of being selected in the NFL draft.
