A second member of the Pitt secondary is heading to the AFC South
The Pittsburgh Panthers are having a successful day three in the NFL Draft. Safety Brandon Hill has become the latest Panther to hear his name called and will be seeing fellow secondary member Erick Hallett II twice a year. Hill was taken in the seventh round with pick 248 by the Houston Texans.

The All-ACC honorable mention racked up 172 total tackles, three interceptions, 12 passes defended, and three forced fumbles over 40 career games with the Panthers. Hill turned heads at the NFL scouting combine turning in the fastest time of any safety in the 2023 class running it in 4.44 seconds.
The Texans are looking to rebuild under new head coach DeMeco Ryans and Hill becomes the fourth defensive player to be selected by Houston. The former Pitt Panther will be joining starters Jalen Pitre and free agent acquisition Jimmie Ward and will be tasked with bringing his hard-hitting mentality to this young defense.
