Blake Hinson has been a driving force behind the 9-4 record for the Pittsburgh Panthers
The Pittsburgh Panthers are building momentum after picking up another ACC win on the road against Syracuse. Blake Hinson has been a driving force behind the Panther’s success and was rewarded with being named ACC Co-Player of the week. Hinson shares the honor with Miami guard Isiah Wong.

Hinson led the Panthers to a victory over the Orange coming away with a double-double in the 84-82 contest. Hinson had 25 points, a career-high with 13 rebounds, and came away with the important steal in the final seconds of the game to help push the Panthers to 2-0 in conference play.
Hinson has been a great addition through the transfer portal and has worked back to form seamlessly after sitting out the last two seasons at Iowa State. The junior forward is averaging 17.2 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game which are both team highs. Hinson is currently shooting 50% from the field and 35% from three and continues to be the guy that the Panthers turn to when they need a bucket.
This has so far been the best season of Hinson’s college career outproducing his time at Ole Miss. With a tough matchup at home against North Carolina on Friday, Hinson has the ability to showcase his talent again and try to help lead the Panthers to a top-25 win.
