The Panthers are projected to have a New York state of mind this week
The Pittsburgh Panthers responded coming off a tough loss at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. Israel Abanikanda ran all over the Virginia Tech defense to lift the Panthers to victory. That win put the Panthers at 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in ACC play. A few projections stayed the same since last week, but we did get a couple of new projections for a bowl game a little closer to home.

So while the Cheez-It Bowl and the Sun Bowl are still there, the Fenway Bowl and the Mayo Bowl were replaced with the Pinstripe Bowl. I always thought a football game in a baseball stadium was a little weird from a fan’s perspective. The seating and the dimensions always felt so awkward to me, but at least the Panthers would be closer to home. Also, Bad Boy Mowers feels like a perfect sponsor for a game in the Bronx. Things might hold steady as the team has a week off as they prepare for the Louisville Cardinals, but everything is still in front of the team to be able to climb back into a more prestigious bowl game.
