Pens Points will help get your ready before the puck drops on a Penguins/Flyers home-and-home starting tonight.
It cannot get much worse for Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic and Joel Blomqvist than it did over the weekend, at least that’s what everyone is hoping. After allowing 13 goals across two games, the Penguins and their netminders will look to rebound and warp up February on a positive note as they begin a home-and-home slate with the rival Philadelphia Flyers tonight at Wells Fargo Center before the return leg on Thursday.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM and will be broadcast on Sportsnet Pittsburgh.

Two of the newest Penguins fans will carry the name of one of the franchise’s all-time greats. Twins Sydney and Crosby were born on January 7, 2025 and will join a growing list of children named after the Penguins captain. [Penguins]
Hints are beginning to drop that the Penguins could be getting a fresh look next season in the way of a new alternate jersey. Recently, the ECHL affiliate Wheeling Nailers debuted a mock gradient version of its uniform in a throwback to the 90’s. [Pensburgh]

NHL News and Notes…
Since the 4 Nations Face-off concluded last week, all eyes shifted to the 2026 Winter Olympics. If the 4 Nations was a proving ground for the Olympics, then Brock Faber and Jaccob Slavin should feel pretty good about representing the USA in Italy. [NHL]
What Mitch Marner does the rest of the regular season won’t matter nearly as much as what he does come playoff time, but the pending free agent is coming off a strong showing at 4 Nations which could springboard him into a big spring. [Sportsnet]
