Another new hire is set to join the Penguins as Kyle Dubas continues to build out the front office. After spending 15 years in the baseball world, Wells Oliver will join the franchise as the new Director of Hockey Systems. [Pensburgh]
Kevin Stevens long ago cemented himself in Penguins franchise history as a member of the 1991 and 1992 Stanley Cup teams. Now that he is being inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame, his contributions in Pittsburgh are being celebrated again. [The Athletic $$]
In an effort to better manage the workloads of his players, head coach Mike Sullivan is using what he calls “active recovery” on off days for players who carry a higher workload during games while lower workload players get more ice time. [The Hockey News]

Rosters for the upcoming 4-Nations Faceoff were released on Wednesday, with Sweden and Finland dropping their respective rosters in the afternoon followed by Canada and the United States doing the same later in the evening. [USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland]
Tyler Seguin will miss most, if not all, of the rest of the 2024-25 season as he recovers from a hip injury as he undergoes a scheduled procedure on Thursday. Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill revealed this has been ongoing issue for Seguin. [NHL]
