Another week in the NHL is about to begin, and managers are preparing for their 2025 Week 15 fantasy hockey matchups. The best strategy to beat your opponent is streaming players and maximizing your games played for the week. Here is an overview of Week 15 and some players you may want to consider adding for the week.
2025 Week 15 Fantasy Hockey Schedule
The Week 15 schedule has busier and lighter days than in recent weeks. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday are light days this week, with at most six teams playing on any one of those days. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are loaded with games. Saturday is the busiest day, where only the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes don’t play.
Ten teams play four games this week, with the Edmonton Oilers playing two games on light days. Buffalo and Carolina are the only other teams to play on two light days, with both of them playing on Tuesday and Thursday. The fact that their only games of the week are condensed to those days makes them decent teams to stream from considering there are 13 games being played on Wednesday.
Two Top-Six Oilers Are Available to Stream
The Oilers roster is highly owned in fantasy hockey. This is true even when some players play at a level that should be considered in streamer territory. Because of the high ownership rate of their players, it is difficult to stream off the team when they have a good schedule.
However, if you are in a deep league where you have to bargain hunt each week, there are two Oilers you may be able to pick up. Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson are playing in the Oilers’ top six. In a banger league, Podkolzin offers over two hits per game with the ability to pitch in offence. Arvidsson is no stranger to point production and has been a player fantasy managers have counted on for years as a depth piece.
Both of them are playing the wing to superstar forward Leon Draisaitl. If you need off-day games this week, grab one of these two Oilers.
Jonathan Huberdeau Resurgence
Jonathan Huberdeau has yet to replicate his Florida Panthers success as a member of the Calgary Flames. This year, his play has changed and is starting to look more like himself. Instead of fantasy managers expecting Huberdeau’s contributions in the form of mainly assists, he is scoring goals.
In fact, with 18 goals at the halfway point of the season, Huberdeau is on pace for a career-high 36 goals. An alarming stat for fantasy managers to be aware of is his shooting percentage, currently at 24.3%.
With two power play goals in his last two games and six SOG, ride the hot hand of Huberdeau for 2025 Week 15 fantasy hockey. The Flames play on Monday this week and have their last game of Week 15 on Saturday. Adding Huberdeau with the intent of dropping him for another streamer on Sunday is a smart play for this week.
Jamie Benn is a Reliable Streamer
When it comes to fantasy hockey streamers, there are not many players more reliable than Jamie Benn. The Dallas Stars has a four-game week including one game on a light day. This means there is room for Benn in your lineup. At 67% rostered on Fantrax, Benn could be available to stream in your league.
In Benn’s last nine games, he has six goals and nine points. Injuries to Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment have moved Benn up the depth chart, where he is now getting second-line deployment. He is also getting minutes on the Stars’ top power play unit. In category leagues, Benn contributes almost every stat, making him a great addition to fantasy lineups.
In a week where it is difficult to stream players, Jamie Benn is a great option to maximize your games played.
