The Pittsburgh Pirates are 67-76. Where are they in the latest MLB power rankings?
The Pittsburgh Pirates split a four-game series with the Washington Nationals over the weekend and are now 67-76 on the season.
Let’s take a look at where they are ranked in power rankings across the internet:
MLB.com, Will Leitch: 24, up 1
The Pirates are a young team that has made some real strides this season. Let’s try to remember that when we look at their record since Aug. 6, the last time they were over .500: It’s the second-worst in baseball, only better than (of course) the White Sox.
Bleacher Report, Joel Reuter: 24, down 1
The most notable thing the Pirates did last week was get no-hit by the Cubs on Wednesday. But at least they won that three-game set before splitting a four-gamer with the Nationals, who continue to see good stuff from Dylan Crews. In 12 games, he has three home runs, five stolen bases and six walks.
Andrew McCutchen is third in career hits among active players with 2,143. Today’s trivia question: Who does he trail? I’ll give the answer in the White Sox comment.
