The Pittsburgh Pirates are raising the jolly roger after a 2-1 win against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon at PNC Park.
After 11 scoreless innings, the Pirates and Cardinals were able to get on the board in the 12th inning. St. Louis struck first with a Jordan Walker single that put a run on the board.
Tommy Pham was able to tie the game against his former team with a game-saving two-out single that scored Ke’Bryan Hayes.
After getting out of the 13th inning without giving up a run, the Pirates were en route to victory where the bases loaded for Joey Bart with one out.
Bart sent a moon shot to left field that scored Alexander Canario for the winning run.

The single from Bart also secured a series win for the Buccos as they take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals in their first of two visits to PNC Park this season.
The Pirates will be off on Thursday, but they will return to the diamond on Friday to take on the Cincinnati Reds at 6:40 p.m. ET.
