The Steelers will be without their star edge rusher for a second straight game
The Pittsburgh Steelers were without edge rusher Alex Highsmith in their 18-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens, but Pittsburgh was still able to get consistent pressure with T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, and Preston Smith. That may be why they are more than comfortable taking their time with Highsmith and not rushing him back into the lineup. As they prepare to travel to Cleveland on a short week, it appears that Highsmith will be out for a second straight game.
Speaking in his weekly press conference, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Highsmith is likely “more out than in” for Thursday night against the Browns. He added, though, that Keeanu Benton and Joey Porter Jr. were both good to go after both leaving the game against Baltimore with injuries.
Mike Tomlin says he hasn’t checked in on Alex Highsmith and what his availability could look like, but he’s probably more out than in.

While the Steelers will likely be without Highsmith, they still have one of the most dynamic groups of pass rushers in the NFL, both on the edge and the interior.
