Antonio Brown has called out plenty of athletes over the past few months. With that said, the former All-Pro wide receiver is trending because of comments he made about Pittsburgh Steelers legend Hines Ward.
Brown made it abundantly clear that he’s not a big fan of Ward.
“Obviously I’m gonna go down with the Steelers, I got more stats than Hines Ward and receiving yards,” Brown said, via All Steelers. “Yeah, he can’t [expletive] with me like, he can’t even wear my jock strap. Hines Ward is my stepson.
“He’s a baby wipe, I’m constipated and I’m still [expletive] on him. And I had to deal with more adversity and more criticism. I’m letting you know what a guy got to deal with when he been so great. Hines Ward can’t [expletive] with me.”
NFL fans are blasting Brown on social media for his remarks about Ward. They believe he comes across as spiteful and unhinged.
If we’re strictly talking about statistics, Ward finished his NFL career with more receptions and receiving touchdowns than Brown.
Brown, however, had more yards despite appearing in only 146 games. For comparison’s sake, Ward played in 217 games.
At his peak, Brown was a more dominant force than Ward. Unfortunately, fans no longer care about what he accomplished on the gridiron because of his behavior off it.
