No one will deny that the Pro Bowl Games are a shell of their former selves—arguably one of the biggest laughingstocks among professional sports’ All-Star Games.
From intense action between the NFL’s best to low-effort tackling, and now to no tackling allowed at all, fans may find little interest in the 2025 Pro Bowl Flag Football game. However, one Steelers player may still be able to use this to stay in the Steel City.
Russell Wilson is scheduled to hit free agency in 2025, along with his competition for a new contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers next season, QB Justin Fields.
Wilson is on the losing end of this battle right now, with insiders reporting a loss of faith in the older Wilson, as well as a strong belief that Fields can lead the Steelers to where they want to be in 2025.
However, if Wilson is able to showcase why he is truly “Mr. Unlimited” in the Sunday Pro Bowl Games Championship on February 2 at 3:00 PM EST, building on the strong performance he delivered this past Thursday, it could keep the door open for a return next season.
