The Pittsburgh Steelers completely overhauled their quarterback room in the span of one week.
After signing Russell Wilson and dealing Kenny Pickett, the team also traded for Bears quarterback Justin Fields who brings youth, athleticism and a potential QB to build around for the future.
On Saturday, Wilson celebrated Fields’ arrival with a social media post. Saying, “Let’s get it @justnfields! QB room bout to be [fire emojis].”

Folks around the league were loving Russ’ message for the 25-year-old QB over the weekend.
“This is the energy you want from your team. Not that whiny [expletive] drama cry baby [expletive] Kenny was doing,” a user replied.
“Been a while since the Steelers had a QB willing to embrace a new addition to the room,” tweeted Daniel Valente.
“Now this is how you handle being told there will be a QB being brought in with you. MY MFIN QB’s.”
“LOVE this,” said Robert Griffin III.
According to head coach Mike Tomlin, Wilson will enter the season as the starter with Fields sitting behind him and learning the position. The Fields trade was reportedly more of a long play for the Steelers who would like to give him time to develop.
If you’re a Pittsburgh fan, it’s hard to imagine a much better scenario playing out this offseason.
