Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:
Happy Super Bowl week, BTSC! The Super Bowl won’t feature the Steelers this year, but it always feels like a holiday regardless.
- What is the best Super Bowl moment in Pittsburgh Steelers history? With 6 championships in their history, there are certainly plenty to choose from. My personal favorite is the James Harrison pick-six.
- Which of the Steelers’ six Super Bowls meant the most to you? As a person who grew up in the Seattle area, the Super Bowl XL win over the Seahawks stands out for me. My favorite player, Hines Ward, also won Super Bowl MVP. Hard to top that for a Steelers first Super Bowl experience.
- Tell us about your Super Bowl plans. Are you heading to a bar or a friend’s house? Maybe you’re hosting? Do you have any traditions you follow? That could be dishes you prepare or other rituals you observe. I make a bean dip every year.
- Last night, NFL awards were handed out. Let’s try some trivia.
How many Steelers have won league MVP?
If any, who were they and what year(s) did they win?
Which NFL franchise has had a player win the most MVP awards and how many?
5. Song of the Week: “Money Trees” — Kendrick Lamar (feat. Jay Rock)
With Kendrick set to play the Super Bowl Halftime show, it feels only right that he’d have our song of the week.
