Some Steelers-related questions to ponder ahead of the weekend…
Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:
- T.J. Watt recorded his 100th career sack in Week 5. His career is shaping up to be a legendary one, but it would be one of many in Steelers history. When Watt hangs up the cleats, where will he rank in the Steelers’ pantheon of defensive greats?
- Speaking of pass-rushers, the Steelers will be down three of their top four entering Sunday’s matchup. It’ll be a big week for Isaiahh Loudermilk and Jeremiah Moon, and possibly practice squad additions Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Eku Leota. How do you see the Steelers scheming up their pass-rush against the Raiders?
- Elandon Roberts made the play of his life last week with a forced fumble at the goal line. If the ball had just bounced in the opposite direction, it would’ve been a game-saving moment. What are some other fantastic plays from Steelers history that were forgotten because of a loss?
- JuJu Smith-Schuster was in the news this week after a 130-yard performance against the Saints on Monday. Looking back to the offseason, do you wish the Steelers had signed Smith-Schuster? And do you root for former Steelers on other teams?
- There’s been plenty of talk about the Steelers’ collapse over the last two weeks, but each loss was by just three points . The games could’ve easily gone in the other direction. If you could change just one thing about the Steelers’ performances over the last two weeks to maximize their chances at winning this week, what would it be?
- We’re starting to get into the chilly part of the year, which means it’s soup season. What’s the best soup? (Recipes are encouraged).
So, settle down for the weekend, share your food and drink of choice, and let’s talk some football.
