Final practice report of the week…
Just as the Pittsburgh Steelers were looking healthy as ever heading into Week 14’s divisional showdown against the Cleveland Browns, one big-time name popped up with a new injury — WR George Pickens.
Pickens, who’s been healthy all season, was listed as a limited participant in Friday’s practice with a hamstring injury and is officially questionable for Week 14. The good news is that he participated fully on Wednesday and Thursday, so from the perspective of game-plan installation, his limited participation on Friday shouldn’t be a huge concern. There’s been no indication that he isn’t playing Sunday despite that questionable tag, having participated in locker room availability with the media on Friday.
Ruled out for Week 14 was DT Montravius Adams, who remains in his 21-day practice window in return from injured reserve.
Edge Alex Highsmith was left off the final injury report without a designation for Sunday, confirming his return from an ankle injury is imminent, as well as CB Cory Trice Jr., who was activated off IR this week — reinforcements on defense!
Also notably absent on the final injury report is WR Calvin Austin III, who’s worked his way through concussion protocol this week after being forced from last week’s win against the Cincinnati Bengals. The fact that he is not listed as questionable would indicate that he’s fully cleared protocol.
With the final practice of the week in the books, here’s a full breakdown of Steelers’ final injury designations, as well as their participation report for their final practice ahead of Week 14’s rematch.
