Queen agreed to a three-year $41 million deal with the Steelers. It’s one of the biggest free-agent deals the Steelers have given out in franchise history.
He fills an immediate need as he can make plays in both the run and pass game. He finished last season with 133 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, an interception, and six passes defended.
He’ll pair nicely with Elandon Roberts, who starts at the other inside linebacker spot.
The Steelers have been looking for a true difference-maker at the inside linebacker position for the last several years and they’ve now found one.
Queen spent the last four seasons with the Ravens before deciding to sign with their biggest rival.
With this out of the way, the Steelers can now turn their attention to other positions of need, including safety and cornerback. Whoever they get, Wilson will definitely be excited about it.
