We polled SB Nation readers for their picks in the Big Game. Here’s what they’re betting ahead of Sunday!
Super Bowl 59 has finally arrived! The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will kick off from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
While Super Bowl squares, the halftime show, top-notch commercials and, you know, the thrill of watching the final game of the NFL season are at the forefront of most people’s minds, there’s also plenty of excitement in the betting markets, with some of the most extensive and unique sportsbook offerings the sports calendar has to offer.
Ahead of Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl 59 matchup, SB Nation polled its readers to gather their predictions for the Big Game and how they’re betting on FanDuel Sportsbook when it comes to the moneyline and point total.
The majority of fans polled are backing Eagles +1.5… but it’s close!
51% of SB Nation readers polled are backing the Eagles +1.5 on the point spread for Super Bowl LIX on FanDuel Sportsbook. That means the majority of those polled (even by a slim margin!) predict that the Eagles will either win the game outright or will lose by less than two points.
On the flip side, 49% of those polled are backing the Chiefs -1.5, meaning a prediction for the Chiefs to win over the Eagles by at least two points.
The point spread sitting this close should be of no surprise to anyone. The last time these two teams met in Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs won 38-35, taking the lead with a 27-yard field goal from Harrison Butker. The Chiefs have mastered the art of the close game, too. Per ESPN Research, the Chiefs have won 17 consecutive one-score games dating back to the 2023 season.

Most fans are expecting the OVER to hit.
The point total for this contest sits at 48.5 — well under the combined point total these two teams posted in their last meeting (73), though the line feels reasonable enough considering the overall improvements each of these units have made on defense in the two seasons since. Still, 56% of SB Nation readers polled are backing the over in Super Bowl LIX, clearly expecting offense to win out in this one.
Though the Chiefs are yet to score more than 32 points in a single game this season, the Eagles have shown enough potency on offense to give bettors some hope. After all, Philly managed to hit this point total all on their own in the NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders, as QB Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley combined for six scores on the ground. In fact, the Eagles have scored 33+ points in seven games this season to the Chiefs’ zero.
Notably, the Eagles and the Chiefs were each tied for the second-lowest percentage of games where the over hit in the regular season this year at 41.2%.
