The Steelers’ captain discussed the upcoming game on Not Just Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to end their two-game losing streak this Sunday when they travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Pittsburgh won in Vegas last year in Week 3, and will hope to have a similar result this week to get to 4-2 and at least keep a share of the AFC North lead.
On this week’s episode of Not Just Football, Cam Heyward highlighted the biggest challenges that come with facing the Raiders, which start with two of the best defensive linemen in the NFL.
“It starts with their front,” Heyward said. “It starts with a guy named Maxx Crosby that plays with his hair on fire. He’s always making big plays. A lot of energy comes from him. he’s joined by Christian Wilkins. He came over from Miami. He can get off blocks, use his hands, and be a terror in the backfield.”
The Raiders’ defense is a middle of the pack unit, ranking 18th in success rate, but they are in the upper half of the league when it comes to EPA per dropback, ranking 14th (the Steelers rank 16th).
It may be too early to call this game a must-win for Pittsburgh, but a three-game losing streak is never good no matter how early in the season you are.
