The Steelers starter is known internally
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to take their record to 5-2 this Sunday night when they host the New York Jets, who are 2-4 and playing with their backs against the wall. The Jets reunited Aaron Rodgers with his long-time receiver from Green Bay, Davante Adams, by acquiring him from the Las Vegas Raiders. The Steelers, on the other hand, are in the midst of a quarterback battle now that Russell Wilson is healthy. And despite Justin Fields winning four of six starts and playing well, it is unknown if he will start Week 7.
Unknown to us, at least.
Speaking to the media on Friday, head coach Mike Tomlin says he has named a starter for Week 7, but that he is keeping the decision in-house.
Mike Tomlin says he’s decided on a starter, but that decision is remaining “in-house.”

While Tomlin is keeping things close to the vest, it has been reported by Albert Breer that many within the organization want to stick with Fields. That said, it certainly feels like Wilson will be getting the start.
WR George Pickens did seem to let it slip that it would be Wilson under center in Week 7, noting that they’ve been getting in extra reps together with it being his “first start.” One can only imagine Tomlin isn’t happy about him letting the cat out of the bag.
