The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly has given his prediction for who the Pittsburgh Steelers will take with their second-round pick on Friday night.
He went on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh and predicted the Steelers would draft Michigan wide receiver, Roman Wilson.
“If Roman Wilson’s there at 51, I think that would be their pick,” Kaboly said.
Wilson would be a solid pick and fill a need since the Steelers badly need a wideout to play opposite of George Pickens. They still haven’t fully replaced Diontae Johnson since dealing him to the Carolina Panthers.
That said, it would also still have the team short of a starting center. They don’t have one after releasing Mason Cole. If someone like Zach Frazier is there, the Steelers could be tempted to draft him since he played right in their backyard (West Virginia).
A lot of really talented players will be available to the Steelers when their turn comes to be on the clock in the second round.
Wilson spent four seasons at Michigan and helped lead Michigan to a national title this past season, finishing with 48 receptions for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns. All of those numbers were career highs.
