The Pittsburgh Steelers have now held their second practice of the week ahead of Week 7’s Sunday Night Football matchup. There’s some good news on Thursday’s injury report, as several players were upgraded in their participation from Wednesday, including edge rusher Alex Highsmith, who has missed each of the past three games with a groin injury, as well as safety Damontae Kazee (ankle) and running back Najee Harris (ribs). This marked Highsmith’s first full practice participation since suffering the injury in Week 3,
As expected, rookie center Zach Frazier was a non-participant on Thursday, expected to return after the team’s Week 9 bye, Nick Farabaugh of PennLive reports, with Ryan McCollum starting in his place. Joining Frazier on the “DNP” list are outside linebacker Nick Herbig, noted as out with a hamstring injury by HC Mike Tomlin earlier this week, as well as running back Cordarrelle Patterson, who’s status for Week 7 could be in doubt as he rehabs an ankle injury.
