The Steelers are sticking with Fields in Week 6
The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to avoid losing their third consecutive game when they travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders in Week 6. There were a lot of questions on whether or not Justin Fields would continue starting after Mike Tomlin told the media that Russell Wilson would be a full participant in practice. However, that hasn’t changed who will start on Sunday.
Per Mike Tomlin, Fields will be the starter against the Raiders, with Russell Wilson being the backup instead of the emergency third quarterback, which is the role he played in the first five games.
Mike Tomlin says that Russell Wilson will be active on Sunday as the backup.
Justin Fields will start.

Fields has eight total touchdowns, which is tied for sixth amongst all quarterbacks and has only thrown one interception. He also ranks 15th in EPA per play while completing over 70 percent of his passes. Should Fields play well in a Steelers’ win, I’d expect them to continue pushing forward with him. If he struggles, though, the likelihood of seeing Wilson will skyrocket.
