Later today, the Steelers will take on the playoff-hopeful Cincinnati Bengals in what should be an intense AFC North rivalry in the final week of the regular season.
Earlier this week, we polled Steelers fans about their confidence in the team ahead of Week 18.
Only 21% of Steelers fans are confident in the team ahead of Week 18
For those keeping track at home, that’s a drop from last week’s 29%. Fan confidence was in the 90’s in mid-December — the Steelers’ three-game losing streak has unsurprisingly resulted in a lot of fans not feeling great about the team.
If the Steelers want to improve confidence among the fanbase and in the locker room, a Week 18 win over the Bengals is a must. Pittsburgh has struggled in the postseason over the last several years, and heading into the playoffs with four straight losses is less than ideal. Can the team find some momentum?
Fortunately for the Steelers, they’re healthier than they’ve been in a while, and the team has already defeated the Bengals once this season. However, nothing is ever guaranteed in AFC North games.
