The Steelers face the Las Vegas Raiders this week as Pittsburgh attempts to get out of an 0-2 skid.
Earlier this week, we polled fans about their confidence in the direction the team is heading, their Week 6 predictions, and their thoughts on wide receiver George Pickens. Here’s what they had to say:
The majority of fans predict a win vs. the Raiders
Optimism isn’t great in Steeler Nation at the moment — scroll to the end of this article for proof — but 61% of fans still predict a win this week against the Raiders.
Pittsburgh might not be in the best spot right now, but Las Vegas has it worse, on the heels of a 34-18 loss to the Denver Broncos and with a quarterback controversy between Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew II. It might not be pretty, but the expectation is that the Steelers get the win and avoid dropping to .500.
Fans think George Pickens will be traded
Star wide receiver George Pickens played less snaps than usual last week and didn’t play with inspiring effort. His performance was all over the news, and fans seem to think it’s an omen for what’s to come. 54% think he’ll be traded at some point, while 35% think he’ll leave as a free agent in 2026.
Only 11% think Pickens will play under a second contract in Pittsburgh.
Fan confidence continues to drop
Last week, fan confidence hit a season-low at 58%. This week it’s down even further to a mere 30%. Two weeks ago, it was over 90%.
It’s been a dramatic drop for the Steelers. Can a win on Sunday flip the trend?
