As if the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver room couldn’t get any more depleted, the team has released WR Scott Miller on Thursday, just two days from the team’s Wild-Card matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Miller appeared in 13 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers and accumulated 69 receiving yards on just five receptions.
The ever-quick receiver—who ran a 4.28 40-yard dash—struggled to find his place in a run-heavy Steelers offense. Falling below WRs Calvin Austin III, Van Jefferson, and Mike Williams on the depth chart surely didn’t help his case either.
Miller’s best season dates back four years ago, where his time catching passes from QB Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not only resulted in 501 receiving yards and three TDs, but a Super Bowl ring as well.

Miller will be best remembered by Steelers fans for his remarkable 21-yard sideline catch against the Browns in Week 14.
Could Miller potentially reunite with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 free agency, or perhaps sign with the team’s practice squad?
