A key member of Pittsburgh’s defense is starting the Adams to the Steelers campaign
Amidst rumors flying around Las Vegas WR Davante Adams, Steelers S DeShon Elliott made it very clear that he’d be in favor of his team acquiring the veteran All-Pro wideout. He is even willing to go as far as selling his own G Wagon.
Appearing on “The Sick Podcast, Steelers Crazy,” Elliott said that Adams becoming a Steeler “would help us out a lot” and he’s been pushing for it around the building:

After requesting a trade a handful of days ago, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Steelers were prepared to make an “aggressive offer” for Adams’ services.
Adams has been sidelined with a hamstring for a few weeks and is not expected to play when the Steelers visit Sin City this Sunday. However, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, his absence is likely due to the trade demand and that he’s healthy enough to play.
It’s obvious the Steelers need help at wide receiver. Their supposed number two target, Van Jefferson, has just eight catches for 62 yards through five games. And this past Sunday in a loss against the Dallas Cowboys, WR George Pickens saw a decrease in snaps, as he was on the field in just 57% of the Steelers’ offensive plays. Head Coach Mike Tomlin described it as “load management.”
Elliott also said regarding Adams:
“He’s a great leader, which I think we could have on this team.”
