The Steelers had two standout performances in Week 8
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-2 and hold sole possession of the AFC North lead as they enjoy their bye week. Coming off a 26-18 win over the New York Giants, Pittsburgh had two standout performers earn national recognition for their respective games in Week 8.
T.J. Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week and wide receiver Calvin Austin was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Watt had two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in what was a dominant showing from the three-time sack leader. Austin had the best game of his career to date, returning a punt 73 yards for a touchdown while also hauling in a 29-yard reception for another score.
