The Pittsburgh Steelers head into the 2024 season finale as a playoff team. Who they play is what will be determined by the game’s outcome.
The ugly truth is the Steelers let the AFC North crown slip out of their hands. The Cleveland Browns would have to defeat the Baltimore Ravens, and Pittsburgh beat the Cincinnati Bengals to win the division. In that scenario, the Los Angeles Chargers would travel to Acrisure Stadium in the opening round of the playoffs.
What’s most likely to happen is the Steelers enter the playoffs as a wild-card team. Should they defeat the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ravens beat the Browns, the Steelers would face the Houston Texans in Houston in round one. If the Bengals defeat the Steelers and the Chargers beat the Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh heads to Baltimore for the second time in a month.
Both sides of the ball need to be flawless for the Steelers to pull off a victory against the red-hot Bengals, winners of four straight. It’s not impossible, but it’ll take every player giving 1000% and the Bengals to make mistakes.
