We break down the game-day inactives as the Steelers face the Bengals in Week 18.
We’re just under 90 minutes out from kickoff of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 13 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, and both teams have officially announced their gameday inactives.
Here’s a look at the Steelers inactives for Week 18’s rematch against the Bengals.
Steelers inactives Week 18
- QB Kyle Allen (emergency 3rd QB)
- CB Donte Jackson (back)
- WR Scott Miller
- DE Isiahh Loudermilk
- DE Dean Lowry
The only player listed as questionable ahead of this matchup was cornerback Donte Jackson, having aggravated a pre-existing back injury last week. In his place, expect a healthy dose of second-year CB Cory Trice Jr. with a mix of James Pierre. Jackson leads the team with 5 INTs on the year, just ahead of UDFA rookie Beanie Bishop (3), having also notched a fumble recovery and 38 total tackles with two tackles for a loss.
Absent from the inactives list (though ruled out for this game) are LB Cole Holcomb (PUP list) and rookies DL Logan Lee and Roman Wilson (injured reserve).
Bengals inactives Week 18
- RB Chase Brown (ankle)
- DE Sam Hubbard (knee)
- WR Charlie Jones (groin)
- DE Isaiah Thomas
- TE Tanner McLaughlin
- OT Andrew Steuber
- WR Jermaine Burton
The Bengals had a rather lengthy injury report heading into the season finale. Among those listed as questionable were RB Chase Brown, who suffered a high ankle sprain last week against the Chiefs and missed practice all week as well as Tee Higgins (ankle/knee), WR Charlie Jones (groin, limited all week), starting RT Amarius Mims (ankle/hand), TE Drew Sample (groin) and CB Cam Taylor-Britt (ankle). Higgins, Mims, Sample and Taylor-Britt are all active for this outing, wins for the o-line and secondary. Brown, meanwhile, attempted to test his ankle in pregame warmups but was unable to go.
Ahead of the game, news broke that 2024 third-round pick Jermaine Burton would not be traveling with the team as a coach’s decision. He’s not played much this season, earning just 14 targets on the year for 107 yards and 0 TDs. Despite an outstanding athletic profile, he’s been out thanks to his coach’s decision.
