There are plenty of great players set to hit free agency who could help the Pittsburgh Steelers. But if the Steelers really want to get better, especially on offense, it might take a trade to make it happen.
One such trade could be on the horizon in the form of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Kupp posted on social media on Monday that he was informed that the Rams will be looking to trade Kupp immediately.
Kupp will be 32 at the start of the season but is still playing in his prime as he heads into his ninth season. He has 634 career receptions for 7,776 yards and 57 receiving touchdowns. Kupp got passed up by Puca Nucua as the Rams No. 1 option making him expendable.
I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.
Still, if there’s… pic.twitter.com/XWmbGVscGy

Kupp has two seasons remaining on his current contract. Kupp’s cap hit for 2025 is $29.78 million and $27.33 in 2026. Kupp would be exactly the type of receiver the Steelers need to pair up with a player like George Pickens.
